The Cambrian explosion shaped the ecosystem
After the significant events that took place at the end of the Ediacaran, our planet witnessed a new period – the Cambrian. This particular moment in the history of Earth brought about a wild explosion of new, curious life forms in the ocean.

Most marine creatures now had harder body parts, such as shells and spines, and more complex tails and fins. By the end of the Cambrian Period, nearly all existing animal types were established, and food webs were emerging, laying the foundation for the ecosystems found in nature today.
