The Stonefish Family
The sea hides many dangers and not the kinds you’d expect. Jaws brainwashed entire generations into believing sharks were the genuine threat when there are other creatures far deadlier. One of them is the stonefish, which lives in the coastal regions of the Indo-Pacific.

They are the most venomous fish in the world, and a sting, besides being extremely painful, can cause respiratory weakness, respiratory damage, and even convulsions or paralysis if left untreated. Most stonefish-related incidents come from people accidentally stepping on them.
