Should we get rid of them?
Given the pigs’ devastation, various attempts have been made to get rid of them. Researchers in the United States and Canada have had some success capturing whole herds of pigs in large traps, while in the United States, attempts have been made, sometimes unsuccessfully, to poison wild pigs.

To address this problem, a variety of approaches are required. However, the efforts focus on mitigating the damage caused by these non-native mammals rather than completely eliminating them. In Canada, that opportunity has passed. But in America, they are here to stay.
