Welcome To Giraffe Mannor, The Hotel In The Middle Of A Giraffe Reservation

Do you wish you could stay in a luxury accommodation where giraffes pop by your window? Then, you should travel to Giraffe Manor! Located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, this unique boutique hotel offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Set on 140 acres of indigenous forest, it is home to a herd of resident Rothschild’s giraffes who roam freely around the property. These majestic creatures attract visitors who come to feed them, take photos with them, and even kiss them. The manor, with its colonial-style architecture, elegant furnishings, and serene atmosphere, is a perfect escape from the bustling city, and its giraffes add magic to the experience.

A brief history of the manor

Giraffe Manor was built in the 1930s as a residence by a Scottish landowner. In the 1970s, Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville bought the property and turned it into a sanctuary for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, which were facing extinction due to habitat loss and poaching.

The couple raised a giraffe calf named Daisy in their home, and she became the first resident of the manor. Today, Giraffe Manor is owned by The Safari Collection and has been converted into a luxurious hotel that offers guests an unforgettable experience.
