Every animal species has its own way of communicating. Dogs howl, cats meow, and cows moo. But how do bees interact with each other? As far as we can tell, they don’t make any sound besides their distinctive buzz.
It all comes down to a particular hormone we all produce, “pheromones.” Bees use these chemical cues to deliver important information to their fellows and manage their colony’s organization. What a complex communication system!
